Handmade Nephrite Jade from a Workshop with 15 Years of Experience
Our workshop has been making pendants and sculptures from nephrite jade and other semi-precious stones for 15 years. Our masters have a lot of experience, and every piece is shaped, engraved and polished by hand rather than made in bulk. That is why two pendants are never exactly the same: the stone, the carving and the small details are always a little different.
What Is Nephrite Jade?
Nephrite jade is one of the two minerals known as jade, the other one being jadeite. Nephrite is made of tightly interlocked fibers, which makes it very tough and resistant to chipping. This is one of the reasons people have carved it into tools, amulets and ornaments for thousands of years. Its colors range from deep forest green to soft, creamy white, and every stone has its own pattern of clouds, veins and light.
